Lia Sclifos
She holds a PHD in Pedagogy with the Institute of Education Sciences of Moldova. Lia Sclifos acted as a National Coordinator of the ―Education for All (EFA)/Fast Track Initiative (EFA FTI) project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Youth during 2009-2010. In this capacity, Lia Sclifos worked closely with the Minister and Vice-Minister of Education. She was responsible for the overall implementation of the program in Moldova, but her primary focus was on quality assurance in the elaboration of curriculum programs for the early and pre-school education, as well as for children development standards and teachers development standards.
During the last 10-15 years, Lia Sclifos has elaborated several curriculum programs, methodological guidebooks and publications in the respective context. The vocational education curriculum elaborated by Lia Sclifos include: ―Education for Community Development, ―Education for European Integration, ―Civic Education, ―Vocational Counselling and Guidance,―Education for Health.
Additionally, Lia Sclifos worked with UNIFEM, UNAIDS, ILO, World Bank and other international organizations in the elaboration of curricula, standards, etc. Lia Sclifos‘ rich experience in curriculum elaboration, training and capacity building programs bring an enormous value to this project.
