What is “… THINKING ACADEMY”?

The “… Thinking Academy” is an international organization of education experts, which is an initiative by the “CMB” Training Center (www.cmb.md) from the Republic of Moldova, that aims at reformation and innovation of the educational system that promotes and develops active citizenship, decision making and freedom in thinking in its citizens through formal and non-formal education.

WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:

• POLICY – elaboration and evaluation of documents that insure the curriculum implementation, educational strategies review, assessment policy and tools, regulations. The Academy focuses on the practical consequences of educational policy decisions and alternatives in different countries and examines them in the broader context of the country/region. It looks at the relationship between educational policy and educational practice, and examines how to bring together the best of educational research with the world of practice, so that this becomes a valuable resource for policy makers,educational managers, administrators, researchers, trainers, teachers, and students of different ages.

• INSTITUTIONS - strategic and institutional development (school development planning), training of trainers (ToT), teacher training, students’ training, ToT among students, etc.

• COMMUNITIES –  school as a community agent, diversification of services the school provides to community members, community problem solving, decision making, community development, use of community resources for the educational purposes, community needs integrated into the school curriculum, entrepreneurial partnership between the school and the community.

The leader of the “… Thinking Academy” is Veronica Cretu.
